Starlings.

The day was a good one.  Plenty of sunshine and no rain for a change!  However, I had things to do at home, so I decided to take a few minutes and watch birds eating meal worms.  Eventually starlings made a 'bee-line' for the feast and this time there was relative peace between them.  As some flew away, others flew in.  Here is one on the way in.  A brave sparrow showed up and took its chances with these starlings.  It managed to get a mealworm before it was wise to leave!  Fascinating to see how birds slow themselves down.
