Volos harbour

It was our last morning in Afissos and we had an easy journey by bus to Volos where we are staying overnight. We wandered around the popular side streets having our morning coffee in one of the many coffee shops. Then we explored the pedestrianised area with it's upmarket shops.

A late afternoon wander along the waters edge where we found a bench in the shade to escape the heat and watch the world go bye. Later we found a nice back street Greek taverna and then wandered back along the harbour area which has many more yachts in it than our visit last week. The sun was setting as l took today's blip.

The promenade along the waters edge is very busy with people out enjoying the cool air or eating at the numerous tavernas in this area. There was a stage performance on near our hotel with children speaking of some issues although we couldn't understand what they were. It was later followed by some nice Greek singing and we were serenaded off to sleep. Fortunately it didn't go on too late.
