The waiting game...

Today was the waiting game for lambs to be born. You have to stay around the croft just in case some ewe needs your help. Last night the ewe with the prolapse gave birth. I went down to the fank and she had one lamb and was cleaning it so I just left here as it can up to two hours for the second one to appear. Half an hour later The Crofter went down to see what she was doing and she had the second lamb but hadn't cleared it's mouth of the membrane so she had just left it and it was dead. It was a very small lamb so had little chance of survival in this cold and wet weather. Marked a ringed six lambs and put them into our croft.
Busy knitting away at my shawl but think I may not have enough yarn.
I was surprised to see the intricate detail in the daffodil.
Weather today was showery with sunny spell but cold and windy.
