We took ourselves for a bit of an away day given that it was a public holiday and not much happening at home.

The Cableway at Hartebeespoort was renovated a few years ago and is now a really pleasant place to spend a few hours.  The view is spectacular, there was live music being played, lots of stuff for kids to do, and a really nicely designed bar and restaurant.  It was lovely to admire the view with the sun on our backs for a while after following the trail and taking in the various viewing points.

The dam itself is looking great compared to previous years when it was choked with water hyacinth.  There is still a couple of patches but nothing like before.

We then headed to a favourite spot that serves an all-day breakfast which really hit the spot.

The last stop on the way home was a visit to the Jasmyn Farm Stall, selling produce straight from the farm.  We saved a packet compared to Joburg prices.
