Purple Sphere

This April there is so little colour in the garden and in the landscape I am appreciating the spring flowers more than ever. A few weeks ago the Primulas in the garden started to come into bud. Since then I have watched, almost daily, as the tightly packed buds have slowly opened to create a delicate sphere of purple flowers. Now complete, they seem incredibly beautiful - the individual flowers and the geometric shape they create. I will savour them whilst they last!
