Back of Skiddaw

Out for a long bike ride with our Lakes friends today.  We went miles in a big loop from Keswick along the old railway, past  Caldbeck Common, Mungrisdale and Caldbeck village for a coffee stop. Lunch was in Bassenthwaite at the Station Cafe (well worth a visit) and back via Lorton and over Whinlatter. This shot is from the quiet lane somewhere behind Skiddaw...but don't ask me where!  It is a good job we had hired electric bikes, we would not have made it back before dark! A great day out.
