Asha Basha

It was a hard morning meeting the owner of a local kids centre that's on the same street as our new centre. She was pretty terrifying and unequivocal about how awful our centre will be for the area. She really came at me all guns blazing. I'm not great at conflict at the best of times, but it left me feeling pretty yuck. Hoping and praying she'll soften and can hear that we really want to work well with her and work around her drop off and pick up hours. This meeting was the complete opposite from the meeting I had the week before!
I saw Sara afterwards and she was probably the best person to meet after a time like that!! Mid way through coffee Danny rang to say school had been in touch and that Asha had been hit in the face by a baseball bat and was bleeding with a cut up lip and chin. She seems ok now, just sore and tender with bruising inside her mouth too.
A last lunch with Auntie Debbie before taking her to the airport. It's been so lovely having her stay with us!
Asha and I had time for a few rounds of her favourite logic game - Batalla de Genios (blipped!) whilst Nate was in the bath and Danny was ferrying Mitch around.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Ending the meeting with the lady on friendly terms despite the difficult conversation.
2) Asha not having worse injuries.
3) Deb getting back to the UK safely.
