C'mon Baby Light My Fire

In my never ending quest to be as knowledgeable and bushcraft cool as Ray Mears, I put this firesteel in my emergency trekking pack some years ago. I found it while clearing out said pack today and I realised just how simple and effective it is. You can see how it's worn where the striker has run down the length of the steel - the shower of sparks it produces is really effective in lighting a small fire.
If I was a real bushcraft sort of chap I suspect I wouldn't carry it in a small tin of cotton wool that I use for kindling but would identify said kindling using skill and cunning and then whittle it with my trusty blade ... but this will have to do for this season at least!
