Aperture on Life

Jackdaws

A day of catching up on domestic things. Very boring! By the time the house was back in order, the day had all but disappeared.

Cocoa was either bitten or scratched on the top of his nose at the weekend. I've given him some antihistamines and borrowed a shield collar yesterday but he now looks more like an elephant seal than a Cocker Spaniel. The wound is weeping and obviously sore so it may require a trip to the vet tomorrow. He is a wimp at the best of times and has been around my ankles, tripping me up, all day.

Part of me wanted to blip his face, which is rather amusing, but I decided to go for these Jackdaws. A flock of them mix with the crows in the fields and must be finding plenty of leather jackets. When I open the door or windows for a photograph, they lift like a black cloud so this had to be taken through the window. Strangely, if I go out without the camera they are less flighty.

The fire is back on this evening!
