Same Play, Different Venue

Tech rehearsal for Boston Marriage at St Mark's in Edinburgh this morning. Just getting used to the space, so no costumes. And in fact one of the actors was missing, so the director had to read in her part. Here is K on stage. Show opens in Edinburgh tomorrow for four more nights - a slightly odd run, with a day off on Thursday. Went for lunch at Out of The Blue and saw some Napier students putting up a photography exhibition - reminded me of our college exhibitions. Will have to get along and see it. We were down in Leith as L and K were supposed to be getting interviewed on Capital FM (formerly Leith FM). I say supposed as when we got there, and despite the guy in charge confirming yesterday, there was no one to be seen and the studio was all locked up, while the show played on remotely. We had a coffee/tea and a chat in a cafe on Albert Street - my old street when I had my first flat in Edinburgh 27 years ago. And we popped in to see the blip exhibition on our way home. Sadly we couldn't see most of it as the larger room was being used for a meeting, but K and L could at least see my image in the book, if not on the wall.
