Had to go to Kirkby town centre to meet a client today. Have to say it’s a nice little town centre.
Supermarket & food outlets added onto the rear of the existing core, rather than out of town. Clean pedestrianised high street with lots of plants. Even the inevitable street drinkers were friendly.
Kirkby has a history of Vikings & Edward Lear used to visit. Hence a gigantic long boat and an elephant with earrings & a poker.
