Thaxted Morris Weekend

A great weekend of dance, music, food and of course beer.

Thaxted Morris Men have organised this weekend for many many years, up until this year only all male Morris sides could attend, this year women were invited. I could go on and on about about all this sexist stuff in Morris but I can't be a***d and I'm pleased to have been part of the 'new' Thaxted weekend!

The side I dance with, Whitchurch Morris, have been going for over 70 years and only started to welcome women a few years ago, they are a very welcoming, inclusive and encouraging bunch of people.
