Chelsea Hospital Artwork

The Chelsea and Westminster hospital has a larger collection of art work than you might imagine. It has over 200 paintings and sculptures including a Resurrection of Christ by Paolo Veronese in the chapel lots of recent work and these chromed hemispheres looking like those mirrors to see around corners... I find them a little spooky - in both senses...

I have spent the day here to follow a DAFNE course on managing diabetes. The aim is that by the end of the week armed with this knowledge and better skills at assessing the carbohydrate content of various foods we should leave being able to eat anything - without having to follow a long patriarchal list of prohibitions. I am amazed at the resources available for this programme - 5 days with a nutritionist and a diabetes nurse for 9 participants. It is great...
