Like a bat out of Hell
We were invited to photograph the Bamburgh Run - an annual vintage motorbike run through Northumberland and Scottish Borders. We set up in Kirk Yetholm after a beautiful drive along many B roads in Northumberland with stunning scenery as we drove through the Cheviots.
Kirk Yetholm is a village just over the border in Scotland. It has a large village green divided by the “through road” with housing running along the perimeter. We stationed ourselves either side of the road to rack get a different background to the riders.
We thought we’d seen everyone in the run, and it started to cool down and some rain clouds were gathering, so we returned to our car to warm up and eat our sarnies.
The run was finishing in the village of Etal where there is a rather charming tea shop - so we made our way there. We passed this gentleman on his 1920 something motorbike and I hung out of the car window and snapped him on my mobile phone!
