Yikes!

Tonight I noticed some dried leaves that had landed on top of the boxwood next to our front door. I pulled them out of the bush and almost grabbed the snake that was sleeping underneath them. That was quite a surprise!
My daughter was picking up her daughter at the time. She looked online and identified it as a harmless brown snake. She described it as "cute." I told her that snakes are not "cute" to me!
