Today's the day ................... for good things

A letter came for Will in today's post - in an envelope with a hand-written address.  He opened it and sat there reading its contents but it took him several moments to work out what it was.  Turned out that it was a cheque for £500 because he had won 1st prize in a Cancer Care Draw.  You can imagine how pleased he was!

It was actually a bit of a miracle that he had actually received it because it had been sent to our previous address.  We haven't lived there for more than three years - but fortunately we are still in touch with the lovely people that bought it.  They had somehow decided to open it and check that it wasn't just marketing stuff.  Thank goodness they did.  

So that was a good start - and it just continued to be one of those days when things work out and the sun shines on all that you do.  The sun was shining on these little apples too and hopefully turning them into a bumper crop in the days to come .......................
