Visits to Vichy

Today was a slow morning too. Spent time chatting and eventually decided that even though the weather wasn't excellent we would make a visit to Vichy. Despite feeling really car sick on the journey and therefore not trying the famous sparkling (and aparently salty) spring water, I really enjoyed the afternoon. We went into so many expensive boutiques to laugh at the over priced clothes, spent an hour in Sephora trying on perfumes and make up and generally being idiots and finally sat down for tea and cakes. My cake was somewhat disappointing with a variety of weird fruit jelly cube things (fruit confit I think) inside but sitting outside was nice. Headed home for more wine drinking and to watch a Hitchcock film - North by Northwest (Les Morts aux Trousses). Unfortunately we were all so tired that we fell asleep before the end. Maybe I'll never know what happens!
