I'm not a killer after all!
........
Anyone who knows me well, knows that when it comes to having green fingers, mine are positively chalk white.
I groan inwardly when visitors arrive bearing beautiful plant gifts because I know, left in my care, that poor plant's sorry fate. Death is usually fairly swift although I did manage to keep a spider plant on the go for three whole months before it wilted and gasped its last. As for orchids, I only have to look at them the wrong way and the delicate petals throw themselves off the stems.
But this little African Violet was given to me last February and despite thinking it was a gonner many times, it's always rallied. It's been flowerless for a few months and I really thought it had reached the end this time, then I saw these little flower buds smiling up at me this morning. It made my day.
Maybe I'm learning not to be an evil plant killer after all, as even the bulbs I planted are just about to flower!
If you're really bored, mad, desperate interested, you can chart my little violet's journey HERE.
In other news, routine visit to GP this morning. As I'm new to the Practice I don't really know any of the GPs so took pot luck. Saw a lovely female Doc but not easy discussing middle-aged women's issues with someone in the first flush of youth!
Can someone please tell me when GP's started qualifying at 16?!! ;))
