Bye Bye
Angie went shopping in Ottobeuren. As she was starting to drive home, the steering failed but somehow she managed to drive it home. I was a bit angry that she didn't stay ut and phone me or the Motoring Club ADAC of which we are 31 year long members. Not only dangerous for her but could also be very costly if parts further damaged.
Opened the bonnet & it was clear the servo steering had burst somewhere. The entire motor was full of hydraulic oil. Called the ADAC and 39 minutes later car left our yard on the way to the garage that looks after our cars. The owner didn't sound pleased the car was heading his way. We were to find out he was up to his neck in work & a combination of holidays & Corona had depleted his workforce. Worse was to come. The broken part turns out not to be in stock anywhere in Germany, can't be repaired with a DIY pipe. It has to come from Korea some time. (Writing this almost a month later with still no car)
