Trying new techniques
I'm constantly looking for new techniques to include with talks for camera clubs (and my YouTube channel). I've spent the past couple of days looking at digital "lith printing" techniques. The master printer Gene Nocon - who taught me printing - devised a method in the 1980s whereby using lith developer, which usually creates very contrasty images (no greys) diluted about 15 times more than it should, could create wonderful peach toned prints with delicate mid ant light tones, and really heavy, blocked up blacks. It was a technique I used in the darkroom for about 20 years - and have really enjoyed creating the same effect digitally.
