Biding time

Back to Pilates this morning.

Richard had a hospital appointment this afternoon. After dropping him off at the hospital I did some shopping and took Jet for a walk on Strensall Common. I got as far as this pond before hearing gunfire and shouts. The area is used for military training. Decided to about turn and walk a different way. Didn’t fancy being part of an exercise. Met a lady picking up the empty bullet cases. She sells them to a scrap merchant and donates the money to charity. Just whilst we were talking she picked up half a dozen.

The pond had a surprising amount of colour with the Rhododendrons still going strong and Irises by the waters edge.
