These woods are very close to my house and sadly have been somewhat neglected.

A local company has very kindly spent some money and remodelled them.

They have done a fab job. They are much more accessible now!!

My daughters class were involved in the design of the new Kissing gate. The gate was designed and made by Tim Tolkien. He is a relative (great nephew I think) of JRR Tolkien. He is in the picture on the right hand side with the long hair.

It was a lovely ceremony and it maybe on central news later!!!

I have been dragged into helping to set up a friends of the wood group with another lady. Eek.

Great morning. The kids sprinkled a load of wild flower seed around as well.
