Huge winds

Over the last few days we have had ferocious winds. For a couple of days it wasn't safe to go out walking because a lot of our walking is under trees. I did go out this morning and saw a lot of damage in our surrounding streets.This gumtree had obviously closed the road completely and so had to be dealt with quickly. The extra shows cut branches on both sides of the road.

We have been so pleased the massive gumtree, only 11 metres from our living room, was taken down last August. Its main trunk was three or four times bigger than the tree I saw today. We would have been terrified over the past few days had it still been there. It was scary enough without it.
