Is it Really June?

Gosh it was cold and damp today. Not a washout by any stretch of the imagine but a high of 57F/13.88C and downright damp. Brrr. Not a good day to be in the garden. So I puttered around inside, did a bunch of botanical garden work (yeah, on a Sunday) and that's about it. I'm frustrated with this weather. It should be lovely and warm and sunny!

I can't wait to see this new Abutilon (Flowering Maple) open...I got it a few weeks ago and it's very slowly contemplating opening this blossom. It's too cold to open quickly. It's name is 'Red Tiger'...despite the slug nibble...isn't it gorgeous?
