Wigan 21

Today we headed out early to take on the Wigan 21. With snack and beer packed we got a taxi to the head of the flight of locks and meet up with our friends with the narrow boat. It was hard work but great fun as we tackled the flight of twenty one locks that come down the hill through Wigan centre to Wigan Junction and further two to join the Bridgewater Canal.
I love the canal systems around the country. It is such a great way to travel. It may not be the fastest way but it is fun. I got to steer for a while too :-)
