Monster poppy

Lovely sunny day so after a cup of tea and a quick read of the paper (online) I got up to do some gardening. Weeding and planted out some new plants grown from seed. They might not do much this year but they are perennial so will come up next year. Quick shower and change then a drive to Hertford with MIL for lunch with S/BIL. Good to see I ( always interesting to chat to him) and to catch up but MIL was a bit unwell after lunch which was embarrassing for her - certainly puts me off getting old.

We left around 6.00 and home in time to download and (pay for) and watch original Top Gun before seeing the sequel later this week.

Picture is of a very large ornamental poppy - called Ladybird on account of the black spots.
