An afternoon at the opera

Bridget and I spent a leisurely afternoon listening and watching Bizet's 'Carmen' at Holland Park Opera.

It's in the open air and based in the very beautiful Holland Park. 

For what ever reason there is no corporate sponsorship this year so it is a more relaxed affair. All the better for it we thought. More a local opera for local people.

As they were charging £45 for a picnic table Bridget bought us lunch at The Ivy, which was a delightful addition to a brilliant summer's day.
