Exams are over...smile!
After breakfast we all went for a walk in the woods, where I took a photo of Tommy and Inca sitting on yet another fallen tree trunk - so many huge fallen trees from that storm we had in February. They have had a relaxing weekend at home after the pressure of exams, and go back to Cambridge tonight to enjoy that beautiful city without having the stress of any university work - a week later the May Ball season starts and they are excited to be going to a few of them.
After our walk we went around to our neighbours BBQ. It was actually a large garden party with about 70 guests, they had caterers doing a BBQ, a cocktail bar, a DJ, and as they are younger than us there were many young children and babies who had a children's entertainer to keep them occupied. They are lovely people and we are lucky to have nice neighbours as the previous owner of that house were not! We did not stay long, we had a drink and chatted to some other neighbours before coming home.
We had our own BBQ lunch as Tommy said he really felt like a BBQ - different types of chicken kebabs for us (made by our butcher) and we made halloumi ones for Inca. They set up the croquet set on the lawn and have enjoyed playing that in the sunshine.
This week looks like it is finally going to be a hot one, the forecast is for 30C on Friday due to the Spanish plume of warm air.
