it's the price we pay
We sit on the floor of Bologna airport for over an hour. The plane is fully boarded in time for the scheduled departure, but we sit on the runway for another hour.
The problem is, as Rousseau might have said, ‘man is born free, but is everywhere in chains planes’. French airspace is apparently full of them and until they make some room, we’re not going anywhere.
But let’s not dwell on that. It’s been a great holiday. It’s good to be home now, even though the fridge is empty.
