In an effort to escape the strong winds at the coast we headed slightly inland to Spynie Palace, ancient residence of the Bishops of Moray.

Some great views across Loch Spynie to the coast from the top of the tower. We admired the skill of the medieval stone masons.

Unfortunately there wasn’t much sun to make the golden stone glow.
