Upstairs, Downstairs

The sisters’ pecking order is reflected in this photo: Chaiyya, although smaller than Rani, is the top cat in this house. They don’t often lie together as peacefully and well-coordinated like in this blip.

I didn’t have a great day. The night was way too short (thanks, cats…) and my plans to do some gardening in the morning got thwarted by noisy, DIY-happy neighbours, once again. 

In the end I crashed on the sofa - next to Rani and Chaiyya - while P went shopping this morning; and I gardened in the afternoon, when it was finally quiet, but uncomfortably hot outside.
