Cancelled!!!

I’m gutted. I was supposed to go up to Windermere tomorrow for the Great North Swim but it has been cancelled. The weather forecast is awful and due to high winds it can’t go ahead for safety reasons. It was challenging last year when it was very choppy and I love a challenge, but I understand they have to take safety seriously. I’m still gutted though. Oh well, I’ll just have to go down to the Quays then….

I had a walk up to Walkden this morning, ostensibly to buy provisions for tomorrow…sigh. Anyway, it was a nice walk. I sat out all afternoon reading. I couldn’t put the book down and have read it cover to cover. It was a really good read….Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. I highly recommend it.
