Getting through . . .

. . . or not!

Yesterday my new Blipbook arrived. Having taken Jeanne's advice and kept the book going through the year, it was not an onerous task to complete it at the end of my tenth year. I like it very much, as I have the previous ones. I like that I can flip through and see a picture and a title and know exactly where and when and why the photo was taken. 

Anyway, as I said, the book was delivered.  

Today was a different story. All the Appleby roads are now closed, or blocked anyway. Thousands of people, vehicles, horses etc have descended on the town and the edge of the town. Apparently . . . I have no intention of going to check this. And today a delivery failed.

I had an M&S wine order and was told it would arrive today. Through the day I have had updates with apologies - delayed because of traffic problems!! The delivery never arrived and I assumed the driver gave up. There is no way through unless you know the back roads. 

I can wait, but we are expecting a boiler engineer tomorrow . . .
