A cross country drive...

...from Ambleside to Chipping for John's funeral this morning...

A great send off - the church in the village was full, and the priest painted a wonderful picture of John's varied life. As he said - it was a measure of the man that people came from far and wide to pay their respects.

The shot is looking towards Parlick, Fairsnape and Wolf Fell - hills we have wandered up many times in the past with John.

A few busy days in a row, but I'll catch up over the weekend :)
