Right On The Rhein

A very early start with a 3am alarm as I was catching a 6am flight. I am heading to Düsseldorf for a few days of work meetings. I decided not to face the Manchester airport chaos for a direct flight but chose to fly from Humberside via Amsterdam.

Unfortunately I still had to face a certain amount of chaos and a nearly 2 hour queue at Amsterdam to go through passport control as I entered the European Schengen Area with my non EU passport!

I eventually got to Düsseldorf at lunchtime and met a colleague at the airport and we caught a taxi together to the office in Monheim.

Our hotel is right on the Rhein and was looking lovely as we headed back from the restaurant to the hotel after dinner.
