Middle of the road

Checked the gas bottles this morning. Only use it for hot water, but still it seems to go quickly. The red arrow pointed to the one on the right. And I was unable to disconnect it. The goose neck pliers must be at Fidelis (or lost). Couldn't get a grip with ordinary spanners. One judicious placed blow with the spanner, loosened it enough to disconnect by hand thereafter. 

Called in at a service station on my way to the phlebotomists for my regular test. The chain which had been New Zealand's only locally owned one. Just been bought by another Aussie giant. So all the profits cross the Tasman. 

Then in the afternoon the rain returned. Very heavy albeit brief showers. The many upward splashes from the big drops can be seen in the photo
