Water End house
Yesterday l and friend H from the allotment went out to Welwyn in Hertfordshire to the old mill to get some flour for bread. I know l could go to the supermarket around the corner but l much prefer this newly milled flour and it does make for a pleasant time out in the country. The old mill is one of several still making flour in Hertfordshire and all its workings are still made of wood (see extra).
Afterwards we went over to WatersEnd to pick some Elder flower heads to make some Elder flower cordial. The main photo is of the beautiful old Waters End house nestled in amongst the trees.
