deep roots?

Spent the morning sorting out car issues - MOT for my old van - which passed :-) - then a couple of problems with the work's car.

At one point I thought I was going to have to get the bus home, so had the chance to see the new planters at the bus station. They are so large, I feel the bedding plants look rather out of proportion. I'm probably being too fussy - they are bright and cheerful. Perhaps they double up as barriers to keep cruise ship passengers in order?
