Poppies

Couldn't resist blipping these beautiful dark poppies growing against a recently renovated stone wall at The City Discovery Centre.  We were all scattered at the Green Gym this morning.  Two of us tackled repairing some 'hedge laying' we had completed earlier in the year.  It is really posts with tree branches woven round them to give a barrier before the newly planted trees mature.  The idea is to stop children getting too near the water as they have a lot of schools visiting the area.  We did leave a hole at the bottom that has obviously been made by an animal, looking at  the state of the flattened area round it.
Of course we all managed to meet up for our coffee break.
