Smiling

After a meeting with PhD student M, I had a few hours of coding before heading into Edinburgh to give the last two hours of lectures on our PhD course. I had a couple of sensible questions, so my lectures had some value, but as time goes on fewer people need to know the level of detail at which I'm an expert. Afterwards we took them over to Old College for a group photo, "While you're still smiling, because at the end of the course you'll have just done the assessment!", as the organiser said. Fortunately a tourist was on hand, so S and I could both be in the photos.
