A soggy walk

Wednesday 
Raining on and off all day. We had a walk in the rain along the canal at Ratho in the morning. No sign of any ducks, but we saw a family of swans with six or seven large cygnets huddled on the opposite bank. Stopped for a coffee and some warmth at the Bridge inn before heading back home.
I spent the afternoon clearing out another cupboard  - one that hoards old photo albums and memorabilia from the boys school days. I moved most downstairs to the dining table so that I can sift through it and hopefully thin it out.
My mum phoned to let me know she has a date for her cataract operation at last - in August.
