Abbotsford

The last chapter in this incredible trip was a visit to Abbotsford, the home of the Scottish writer, Walter Scott.  It was a fascinating place and the gardens were amazing.  Over the last two years I’ve taken two online courses from Glasgow University on Robert Burns and Walter Scott.  This trip added to my understanding of those two wonderful writers.  We then headed to the testing center for my preflight Covid test.  I’m very happy to report it was negative so this morning we head to Glasgow airport for my long journey home.  I will be processing this trip and all the photographs I made for weeks to come and the memories will last forever.
