Grumpy in the garden

Not Johnny this time! :—) I pulled grass out of my zinnias and found this guy! He did not look happy and actually startled me by jumping into my camera lense like “ Get that outta my face! “ Summer is here so we try to do garden work early and late I was up around 6:30 AM picking blueberries and pulling grass till about 9:30-10. Then it got hot! Johnny mowed grass early and got home just after lunch. I picked some more berries this evening.
They are about to get away from us! I’d like to freeze 10+ gallons this year as well as make jam.
This evening we took my brother in law with us to eat an early supper. It’s too hot to cook and I wanted a salad and grilled chicken. It was good!
Bella is better and Uncle is still in pain. His surgery on L ankle is next week. I do wish they would consider his age and condition and do it sooner. My mom would have laughed and said , “ And frogs wished they had wings! “ :—) Be blessed!
