Going the distance

Having watched the brave runners in the marathon on the TV, I went to watch my 6' tall 13 year old niece play basketball. She didn't win but she was amazing. She's a gifted girl. I don't normally get absorbed in ball sports but it was fast paced and exciting. I loved it.

All that sporting endeavour increased my panic about the 40 miler coming up in 20 days time so my sister and I borrowed a labradoodle named Penny and hit the beach. It was idyllic. We mainly had the beach to ourselves and we only saw one runner. Here he is.

All that fresh air has made me tired. Early night for me.
