Paddling

Despite a long and depressing history of taking rubbish bird pictures I persevere and this morning couldn’t resist these Egyptian geese and their goslings. After falling asleep to the sound of ribbiting frogs, I woke to a chorus of birdsong which was much more pleasant. Having said that, I could’ve done with the chorus starting an hour or two later.
But we left Bad Kreuznach and the birds behind and battered on southeast towards Weilheim, lucking out with relatively few roadworks and great driving weather so that we arrived mid-afternoon. I was so excited I whacked the car into the entrance of our underground garage. Typical. My spacial awareness gene seems to have gone awol. Luckily there were a few cold beers of consolation lurking in the fridge. I was quickly consoled. I was also hot out on the terrace. 45C+!! It’s a bit of a heat trap!
