Westbury on Severn.

We had a long walk today - longer than hoped as at least four of the public footpaths were blocked off/overgrown. We visited the UKs only surviving Anglo-Netherlands water garden, built around 1700 and restored by the National Trust in the 1960's. It was formal, compact and very pleasant.
The main shows some of the wooden panelling in one of the rooms, though it's a recreation of something earlier.
Extra 1: Said to be the UK's oldest evergreen oak, planted around 1700.
Extra 2: I'm said to look like this at mealtimes, and when pressing the shutter. 
Extra 3: To my surprise and delight, an intermediary sprint of today's stage of the womens' Tour of Britain was happening right outside the gardens. They didn't want to slow down to help me focus or compose properly.
