Amazing views from this edge near to Kendal - even as far as the Blackpool Tower (see extra, although I'm not sure you'll actually be able to see the tower in the photo).

Earlier in the day, we got the ferry across Windermere and walked along the west shore of the lake. The path was tarmac for much further than I was expecting, and there were a lot of people (it was a sunny bank holiday weekend, after all), so we turned back eventually and settled for a lovely coffee and cake by the Claife Viewing Station (see extras).
