Splat pack

Despite having no meetings in the diary, work was very busy today and the day flew by.

Silly season is ramping up just in time to coincide with the play run. With the benefit of hindsight, maybe being in the play at the busiest time of the working year whilst having extensive work done at home and keeping on top of various family birthdays and organising accompanying treats may not have been the best of choices, but as each of these elements ramps up, I know that there is an end in sight for each of them and I am very much looking forward to a quiet, uneventful July.

We had the dress rehearsal tonight, and although it was far from perfect, it is coalescing at just the right moment. The moments I saw when I was able to watch my colleagues were excellent and the set looks fantastic - as ever, the director’s production values are spot on and he has great company in the sound and special effects department.

Exhibit A are these wonderfully named “splat packs” full of stage blood.

But who is it who has to use them?!!
