Dinner To Go

Today was a spectacular day in the Pacific Northwest along with the chance to go Lingcod fishing in the San Juan Islands with our friend Rick... As we were enjoying the scenery fishing we had spotted a large adult Bald Eagle high atop on the point of Matia Island looking for the next meal... The next minute the fishing rod was pulsing with a Rock Cod that you can not keep and was let go....  There are a few times when the fish needs to gain its thoughts and air and takes off... this one was working on that when I looked to the island tree and saw the eagle was gone... My friend Rick said he better get right fast... I asked where was the eagle and he said it looks like he might be circling over here... I tried to quickly get a photo of the eagle only to see dinner get pick up to go... It was a good sized rock cod... Sure it was good eating...
