Not Quite
I tried sneaking up on a magpie in next door's garden.
I kept below the level of the fence and slowly introduced the lens into the gap in the fence. All was going well until I went to press the shutter.
No wonder their numbers are rocketing ... nobody get get near enough to 'off' the buggers.
So I had to resort to the very straggly Wisteria and the dandelions ..... just in case.
The Cygnet was at the high school today (and again tomorrow) as an introduction to the difference in schooling system from primary school and to the new teachers. He was really excited about it before he headed off with none of the Mr Grump he has had the last couple of weeks when I have seen him off.
After that it was breakfast, shopping with SWMBO and a bit of bodging.
When we went to wait on the monsters coming back from school I grabbed some 'differential focus' of the white flowers in their front garden. We didn't see much of the kids after they got home (and we had interrogated The Cygnet)) as they were off out with friends.
When Bags arrived home SoCo the cat appeared ..... so she had the lens pointed at her.
Follow the Wisteria for the other shots.
